I wake up daily with convictions that I'm a step closer to puzzle out the conundrum of life; well my life. Ambitiously, I drive my pursuit in incessant dedication.  No such luck today. In fact things have been weird today. May I bore you with the details? Very well I will.  Today my mind was plunged into an abyss. It was dramatic, it was surreal. Who would have thought that an ice queen with a greedy hold on self control could get swept into the emotional roller coaster, which besiege common folks of unstable minds. The hubris in me has been shaken.

Sneering my nose condescendingly at the goo-goo eyed race,  I pride myself on being brisk but stoic; mundane but astute. Alas, how the mighty has fallen. It was inconceivable and very much disconcerting. What to do? what to do? Ah, I know. I scheduled an emergency meeting with my head, mind and the boss ladies on my chest. We needed to figure it out- we needed to have a conversation about this preposterousness. 

Here's the breakdown of the discussion:

Mind: What's this gibberish?  How did the red eyed trickster with arrows get in?

Head: No such luck pal. I can tell the difference between the hollow muscular organ that pumps blood through the circulatory system and cupid's arrow. Get your mind out of the gutter. It's just ventricles, atria and vessels at work.

Boss Ladies: LOL!!! Serious much huh? Well my skin doesn't break out in goosey bumpy exhilaration from the slow paced rhythmic contraction and dilation of your organ. No ma, this rumba is supersonic and I LIKE IT. :D

If there's any indication from that published conversation, well this is an affirmative statement; YES- yes my wit and sanity have gone awry, and common sense is threatening to take a hike. I'm going to hop on my train, curl up in my berth, and take you down nightmarish lane as I recall ghosts of beaus past, present and future.

MAKE UP LESSONS FOR LIFE

Growing up in a world where little girls are taught to look up to Barbie dolls as the epitome of beauty, one tends to pick up on the importance of body image in the quest to create a “wow” factor every time you pass by a man.  Over the years, we pick up on the glittering effects of beauty products and services in polishing our image to the world. Beauty products and services such as lotions, plastic surgeries, spas but most importantly make up kits.

Many of us have come to chronically rely on make-up kit contents, such as lipsticks, eyeliners, eye shadows, lip-gloss etc to create and project a positive image to others.  However, no matter how much we externally adorn and pamper our faces or bodies with exquisite brands of beauty products, there are four basic extremely important make up effects every woman must put on, on the inside to completely create and project beauty or a positive image both externally and internally. These internal make up effects are,CONFIDENCE, MANNERISMS, ETIQUETTES, and POSTURE.

Confidence:

There’s nothing as beautiful as a woman who has learned to harness the power of self- awareness and esteem even in the midst of uncertainty.  Walking tall, with your head held up high even when life’s circumstances don’t favor you, makes you a woman to be reckoned with. Even if you have a trail of past mistakes and failures behind you.  So many ladies have neglected this very important make up effect. It will do us good to wake up in the morning, take a good look at the mirror and realize that there is only going to be this version of you in this lifetime.

If you care to betray yourself and cower every time someone bad mouths you, then you are going to live your life as a contradiction; pretty on the outside but lost and miserable on the inside.  I understand that there are moments in life when the situation we face are intimidating. We must learn to fake it until we make it. Fake the aura of confidence until your psychic believes and your mind wears it for real. Hush – No one has to know.

Rock on that confidence Diva – Every one has made mistakes in this life, that’s what makes you human. Forgive yourself, dust yourself off the ground, get up and get your diva on!!!

What does mannerism mean? We will examine this make up effect in my next post!

A Slothful Contradiction

Full Moon

I look outside my window and see a full moon

Inspired by the radiant silver sight, I employ my mind to explore interesting possibilities

 

If I could fly around this night hovering around the beautiful city

whose secrets will I be privy to?

And what will I do with these secrets?

 

If your secrets involve robbery …well I guess a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do

If it consists of whoring… it’s your body you can do what you want to

If you have murder on your hands…I’m not interested in telling your story

 

But if I see you romancing in sweet ecstasy under the stars in the sky

I was writing a script and had a writer’s block and so I decided to write anything that popped up in my mind just for fun…and came up with this! Lol. this is to show how bad my writer's block is!!! lol

STRENGTH IN BROKENNESS

Sometimes all you can do is laugh,

That kind of laughter that’s induced by despair; the type that comes from a place of deep-seated cluelessness rather than excitement and joy.

The laughter that reminds you that there is strength in brokenness,

The kind that tells your soul, come what may, the night always has an end and morning is just around the corner – hold on.

 

Sometimes all you can do is place a buffer,

A buffer to cut off the pain that threatens to twists out your internal organs; into the same tasteless style it’s done with your psychic.

A buffer- the defense that soaks up drenching rains of rejection.

The barrier that stops piercing arrows of hopelessness in their darting speed.

Arrows, which terrorizes your childlike faith

 

Sometimes all you can do is take a deep breath, sigh

Ladies Keep your Pearls! They aint for Pigs!!!

Matthew 7 vs. 6 had a new meaning for me this morning. It is amazing that I have read this particular verse of the bible so many times before but today I had more insight to how the verse can and should be applied in my life as a woman. Matt 7 vs. 6 says “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces”.

The truth is I always saw the verse as a metaphor of some sort but never decoded it before.

1.  A pearl is a precious gem, Invaluable priceless, It’s of high esteem.
2. A gem is something valued for beauty or perfection. It’s a treasure, a brilliant jewel polished for ornament
3. Ornament is something that lends grace or beauty
   
   
4. Sacred means something set apart for service or it can be defined as devoted exclusively to one use, service or purpose.
   
   Now let’s take a look at the definition of a pig and a dog
   
   According to Webster’s dictionary a pig means a dirty, gluttonous or repulsive person. Gluttonous means selfish desires beyond reason. Marked by excessive greed, never content and always wanting more.

1. Synonyms for Gluttonous: Greedy, acquisitive or repulsive
2. Repulsive means arousing aversion or disgust.
3. Synonyms for repulsive: distasteful, horrible, horrid, obnoxious, repugnant, nasty, offensive
   
   
4. •Pig equals Swine. Swine means a contemptible person
5. •Contemptible means deserving contempt
6. •Synonyms for Contempt: Scorn, disdain, disregard.
   
   A dog means a flesh eating domestic mammal. According to webster’s dictionary it means a worthless or contemptible person.
   
   The reason I broke down the core terms of that verse is for you to have a clearer understanding of where am coming from
   
   The Point:

Ladies (dignified women of inner strength) are beautiful creations of God and he has deposited talents, charisma, strength, charm, good personalities, physical beauty, power and love above all to make our world a better place. In addition he made us to be partners of good men.

"Behind every successful man is a good woman". "A man who finds a wife finds a good thing". "And Adam saw her and called her woman because he recognized her as the flesh of his flesh and bone of his bones" 

He saw eve and recognized her immediately. Something inside him clicked and connected with her; that’s how it was then and that’s how it should be now. The man who is worthy of you sees you and recognizes his helpmate, his soul mate and his friend immediately/instantly in you.

Unfortunately we ladies are in the habit of given our beauty, our pride, our dignity, our virginity, our substance, our bodies, our energy, our tears, our hearts, our spirits and above all our precious love (all these are our pearls our precious gems) to worthless pigs and dogs who do not know what to do with them.

They take your virginity and trample it under their feet and turn back to tear your sensitive heart apart and destroy dignity! You can’t blame these dogs because the bible says don’t give what is sacred to a dog.They simply don't know its value! Your love is sacred. Your heart is sacred. Your body is sacred.

Remember that I defined sacredness as something devoted to one use, purpose and service. And that purpose, that service and use is for the bones of your bones and the flesh of your flesh. It’s for your husband. Your sacred body is for him. Your sacred intelligence is to help him succeed. Because these dogs don’t understand what it is worth and how sacred and beautiful it is they trample it.

Remember we defined pigs as contemptible, gluttonous, dirty and repulsive people. Why then do we give our hearts to a selfish and offensive person? He obviously doesn’t know what to do with it. You know why because he is greedy, he is never satisfied, he will always want more and therefore he becomes a cheat. He will cheat and cheat and cheat on you over and over and over again, you know why because he is a greedy and acquisitive pig!

So my dear ladies why don’t we all save ourselves the heartaches and heartbreaks from people who have no worth give us. Remember always that you are a jewel and that means you are to be polished for ornament so as to lend grace and beauty to the man who is worthy of you. You have pearls that are sacred in your hands to offers such a worthy man i.e. the man who sees you recognizes you as the flesh of his flesh and the bone of his bones

If you are currently heartbroken remember that only a pig or a dog can trample the precious sacred pearl you gave. So cleans your eyes he is not worthy of your tears. Unless you would rather love a disgusting pig or an uncultured dog!

The only person that is really worthy of your tears will never bring them down your eyes in the first place.
